When you think Kia, you don’t think high performance, Until Now!
Let’s strap into one of the fastest Kia’s designed by the Korean brand.
Introducing the Stinger GT, it is fueled by Kia’s high performance 3.3litre twin-turbocharged V6 GDI engine that provides the vehicle with 272kW/510Nm. This labels it the fastest Kia that has been driven on South African soil, this type of engine will have you roaring at a top speed of 270km/h.
The Stinger GT suspension is designed with a mechanical limited-slip differential feature that assists by distributing power evenly through the rear wheels. It also holds five different driving modes, these are: Personal, Eco, Sport, Comfort, and Smart.
The clean lines and slim front of the Kia definitely captures the attention of people passing by it, or spotting it in traffic. Key features that makes this Kia stand out in the crowd, is that the front of the car has a sharp edgy look with the bonnet designed similar to that of the Nissan Skyline GTR that was released a couple of months prior. The twin tail pipes on either end of the rear end of the car and the chrome tips really draws attention, the shape of the headlights is also very classy. The front lip adds to the sporty feel that comes with viewing this car.
Let’s talk speed, the 8-speed transmission makes for a smooth change in speed, as you move swiftly on the road. The speed increases without you noticing, best keep an eye on the speedo meter if you’re the owner of one of these.
The interior is like a breath of fresh air, with a red leather interior and heated seats in the rear, also including many other features. Although the Stinger has a lot of great new features, I love that the manufacturers have chosen to keep certain features simple and 100% Kia, like the design of the steering wheel.
That said, if you are in the market for a new ride, you might what to consider this mechanical masterpiece.
